About the event
Two workshops will be taught by Elissa to help handlers and their dogs or puppies with agility foundations:Â
12:30 - 2:30pm - Focus and Engagement
This workshop is perfect for puppies or dogs looking to start their journey in agility or build focus and engagement with their handlers.Â
We will work on appropriate ring behaviors, focusing on new places, reward strategies and introductions to novel places and objects in this class.
Handlers and dogs do not need experience to participate, but dogs may not be aggressive towards dogs or people.
Working spots limited to 6.
3:00 - 5:00pm - Jump CommitmentÂ
This workshop is perfect for young dogs or experienced dogs over 9 months old with some understanding of jump wings and low bars.
We will look at creating independence for the dog to find the jump without the handler needing to babysit their movements.
Dogs may not be aggressive towards dogs or people.
Working spots limited to 5.
In addition to working spots, handlers interested in learning from the workshop without bringing a dog may attend as an auditor for $10 per workshop.Â
